Stocks Rallied: Sensex rises! These stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today’s trade


NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Minal Industries Ltd.(20.00%), Karma Energy(20.00%), Energy Development Co(19.99%), Shahi Shipping (19.96%), Gayatri Sugars(19.96%), GTL Ltd(19.93%), GTL Infra(19.73%), Akar Auto Ind.(19.00%), Wockhardt(18.43%) and VCU Data Mgmt(17.01%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 123.42 points up at 82515.14, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 37.16 points up at 25141.4.

In the Nifty50 index, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Wockhardt, National Fittings, Prabha Energy, Reliable Ventures India and Choksi Labs hit their fresh 52-week high, while Pradhin Ltd., Hindusthan Urban Inf, Omega Inter.Tech, Salguti Industries and Vantage Knowledge touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
