Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 123.42 points up at 82515.14 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Starteck Finance(down 10.83 per cent), SBL Infratech(down 10.00 per cent), Pecos Hotels & Pubs(down 9.97 per cent), EP Biocomposites(down 9.89 per cent) and Pradhin Ltd.(down 9.37 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 37.16 points up at 25141.4.

On the BSE, Pradhin Ltd., Hindusthan Urban Inf, Omega Inter.Tech, Salguti Industries and Vantage Knowledge hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Wockhardt, National Fittings, Prabha Energy, Reliable Ventures India and Choksi Labs touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
