Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday’s session


NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 260.74 points up at 80998.25 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Sun Pharma Adv Res.(down 19.70 per cent), Billwin Ind(down 11.38 per cent), Yug Decor(down 10.76 per cent), Aditya Birla Retail(down 10.68 per cent) and Samrat Forgings(down 10.64 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 77.71 points up at 24620.2.

On the BSE, Aditya Birla Retail, Lasa Supergenerics, Prostarm Info System, Indergiri Fin and Nettlinx Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sika Interplant, Anupam Finserv, Reliance Infra, Pratik Panels and Camlin Fine Sc touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
