Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.17%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 0.58%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 0.56%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 0.22%), Marico Ltd.(up 0.14%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(up 0.06%) and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(up 0.02%) stood among the top gainers.

Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 6.07%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(down 4.43%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 3.77%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(down 3.71%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.46%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 3.27%), Gopal Snacks Ltd.(down 3.06%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 3.03%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 2.98%) and AWL Agri Business Ltd.(down 2.75%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 18.8 points down at 24793.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 82.79 points at 81361.87.

Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.17%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.87%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.77%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.53%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.1%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.09%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.99%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.98%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 0.67%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.66%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
