NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 120.75 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 41.47 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 24.78 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 21.98 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 20.81 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 11.85 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 9.11 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.55 crore), Shriram EPC(numbers of share traded: 6.31 crore) and Tata Teleservices(numbers of share traded: 5.01 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 253.21 points down at 24888.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 823.16 points at 81691.98.
On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.86 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.63 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 2.58 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
