Redmi Pad 2 Launch Date Announced; Confirmed to Feature 9,000mAh Battery


Redmi Pad 2 will launch later this week, the Chinese smartphone brand confirmed on Tuesday through its social media handles. The Xiaomi sub-brand has shared official images revealing the design and specifications of the new Android tablet. The Redmi Pad 2 is confirmed to come in at least two colourways with 4G connectivity. It is teased to ship with MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset and an 11-inch screen with 2.5K resolution. The Redmi Pad 2 will debut as a direct successor to 2022’s Redmi Pad.

Redmi Pad 2 Launch Date, Specifications Revealed

The Redmi Pad 2 4G will launch in the Philippines on June 5 and will be available for purchase through Shopee. The teaser images hint at the design and specifications of the new tablet. It is shown in two colourways with a single rear camera unit.

India launch of Redmi Pad 2 is confirmed to take place soon. Amazon, Flipkart, and the official Mi India websites are teasing the arrival of the tablet. However, an exact launch date is unknown at this moment.

Redmi Pad 2 is teased to run on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC. It will ship with Xiaomi’s HyperOS interface and feature an 11-inch display with 2.5K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will have a 9,000mAh battery and a quad speaker unit with Dolby Atmos support.

The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Redmi Pad 2 is said to cost EUR 229 (roughly Rs. 22,000). Meanwhile, the top-end model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is tipped to cost EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 26,000).

The Redmi Pad 2 will arrive as a successor to the Redmi Pad, that went official in 2022. It is rumoured to support 18W wired fast charging and include an 8-megapixel AI-backed rear camera. The tablet could feature a 5-megapixel selfie shooter at the front.
