Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.7% in an upbeat market


NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:31AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Anant Raj Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.73 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.7 per cent at 976.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 44.16 points at 24586.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 140.08 points at 80877.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red. Shares of Aditya Birla Retail, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Natural Capsule, Shree Global, Pennar Ind, GRSE and AstraZeneca hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Aditya Birla Retail, Prostarm Info System, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Bohra Industries and Cambridge Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
