Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.06%


NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.56 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Anant Raj Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.05 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.06 per cent up at 1007.05.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 169.61 points at 24718.6, while the BSE Sensex stood down 573.38 points at 81118.6.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 ended in the green, while 41 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, RattanIndia Power, Suzlon Energy and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of DB Realty, Oswal Agro Mill, Nazara Technologies, Narayana Hruday and Ishan Dyes Chem hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shree Ram Proteins, Bluspring Enterprises Ltd., Navkar Builders, Lasa Supergenerics and Geekay Wires hit their fresh 52-week lows.
