Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.42 per cent at 21352.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 118.96 points at 24631.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 429.83 points at 81021.18.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Niva Bupa Health Ins and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IFB Agro, Lumax Auto Tech, Pennar Ind, Madhya Bharat Agro and Reliance Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Navkar Builders, SKIL Infrastructure, Shree Ram Proteins, Varanium Cloud and Signpost India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
