Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.65 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 2.2 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 1.1 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.24 per cent at 21860.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.85 points at 25597.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 141.52 points at 83897.39.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, YES Bank, RattanIndia Infra and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of NDR Auto Components, Shree Global, Niraj Ispat Ind., Indosolar Ltd and Sumeet Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Osia Hyper Retail, Sadhana Nitro, Digitide Solutions Ltd., Gensol Engg and Twentyfirst Cent hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
