Shares of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.35 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.52 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.47 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.19 per cent up at 21684.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 252.15 points at 25003.05, while the BSE Sensex stood up 746.95 points at 82188.99.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 ended in the green, while 5 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, IDFC First Bank, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Indef Manufacturing, Godrej Ind., Peria Karamalai Tea, Shree Global and Manaksia Coated hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shree Ram Proteins, Navkar Builders, Prostarm Info System, BSL Ltd and Shrem InvIT hit their fresh 52-week lows.
