MRF Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.31 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(up 0.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.28 per cent at 23302.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 57.25 points at 24889.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 184.84 points at 81611.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red. Shares of Vishal Mega Mart, Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, Sagility India and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Federal Mogul, Subros, Steel Strips, Niraj Ispat Ind. and AXISCADES Engg Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Navkar Builders, Sadhana Nitro, Bluspring Enterprises Ltd., Gensol Engg and Uniinfo Telecom Serv hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
