How to calculate the Asset to Equity Ratio

Investment Guide

The Asset to Equity ratio measures a company’s financial leverage by comparing its total assets to its shareholders’ equity, reflecting how much of the company’s assets are financed by equity. This ratio is calculated by dividing a company’s total assets by its total shareholders’ equity, with both values taken from the company’s balance sheet.
