NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Salora Intnl(19.99%) and Megastar Foods(17.14%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 1046.3 points up at 82408.17, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 319.16 points up at 25112.4.
In the Nifty50 index, 46 stocks closed in the green, while 4 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Quality Power Electr, Rainbow Found, Prostarm Info System, A-1 Acid and Gallantt Metal hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shristi Infra, Lasa Supergenerics, Nutricircle, Krishna Vent and Sadhana Nitro touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
