NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 77.26 points down at 81373.75 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Betex India(down 13.73 per cent), Innovators Facade Systems(down 12.79 per cent), Coral Labs(down 12.78 per cent), Samrat Pharma(down 11.85 per cent) and Swarnsarita Gems(down 11.56 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 34.11 points down at 24716.6.
On the BSE, Srestha Finvest, Alfavision Over, Techindia Nirman, Siel Financial and Chembond Chem hit their fresh 52-week lows, while IFB Agro, AstraZeneca, Pennar Ind, Anupam Finserv and Lumax Auto Tech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
