NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 75.3 points down at 81366.74 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Khadim India(down 18.54 per cent), Looks Health Services(down 10.49 per cent), DIC India Ltd(down 10.33 per cent), Ravileela Granites(down 9.61 per cent) and Venlon Enterpr(down 9.22 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks traded in the green, while 23 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 5.81 points down at 24745.1.
On the BSE, Khadim India, Pradhin Ltd., MPIL Corp, Yarn Syndicate(PP)and Pulsar International hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Reliable Ventures India, Franklin Industries, Indef Manufacturing, S S Organic and Manaksia Coated touched their fresh 52-week highs.
