Stock Market Sectors: Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Wednesday’s session.

Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 4.32%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 4.12%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.33%), Coromandel International Ltd.(up 2.18%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 1.46%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.20%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 0.68%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.64%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 0.57%) and Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 0.56%) stood among the top gainers.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 5.92%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.99%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 1.89%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.76%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 1.31%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 1.11%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.63%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 0.60%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.05%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 37.16 points up at 25141.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 123.42 points at 82515.14.

HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.23%), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.2%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.66%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.59%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.08%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.08%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.78%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.75%), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.73%) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.73%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.


On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.05%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.87%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.23%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.19%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 1.14%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.04%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.97%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.79%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.77%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.76%) closed in the red.
