Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.66%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.

Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 3.2 per cent), Anant Raj Ltd.(up 3.01 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.52 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.63 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.29 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.17 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.66 per cent down at 949.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 82.9 points at 24750.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 182.01 points at 81451.01.


Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 ended in the green, while 43 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Eternal and FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Lumax Auto Tech, Reliance Power, Shaily Engg Plastics, BSE and CCL Products hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Signpost India, Career Point, Navkar Builders, Borana Weaves and Capri Global hit their fresh 52-week lows.
