Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 3.51 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Biocon Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.2 per cent) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.17 per cent at 21948.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 152.61 points at 24871.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 479.51 points at 81598.11.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 43 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, RattanIndia Power, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Raj Oil Mills, Camlin Fine Sc, Niraj Ispat Ind., Reliance Naval & Engg and Hotel Rugby hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shree Ram Proteins, Varanium Cloud, ARSS Infra, Sadhana Nitro and Bluspring Enterprises Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
