Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.87 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 2.13 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.03 per cent at 21591.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 113.85 points at 24734.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 367.49 points at 81365.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red. Shares of Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and Eternal were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of NDR Auto Components, Welspun Investments, Welspun Corp, Ginni Filaments and Belrise Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Navkar Builders, Axita Cotton, Prostarm Info System, Gujarat Raffia and Noida Toll Bridge Co hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
