Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.13 per cent) and Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.64 per cent at 23910.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 32.35 points at 25136.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 92.03 points at 82483.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red. Shares of RattanIndia Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, JP Power and RattanIndia Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of United Polyfab Gujar, Kavita Fabrics, Creative Eye, Hybrid Financial Services and Reliance Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Pansari Developers, Silgo Retail, Shree Ram Proteins, Excel Realty N Infra and BSL Ltd hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
