NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Binani Ind(20.00%), NDA Securities(20.00%), Bonlon Industries(19.97%), Ecoplast Ltd(19.25%), Kamanwala Housing Const.(15.39%) and Trinity League(15.28%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 379.93 points down at 73847.15, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 136.7 points down at 22399.15.

In the Nifty50 index, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Dhanashree Electro, TECIL Chemicals, Cura Tech, RSC Intnl and NACL Industries hit their fresh 52-week high, while Trio Mercantile, Boston Bio Systems Ltd., Hilton Metal, Themis Medicare and Smartlink Holdings touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
