Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 73.98 points up at 83829.85 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, GCM Comm(down 19.88 per cent), Saptak Chem(down 19.29 per cent), Sahara Maritime(down 16.84 per cent), Mayukh Dealtrade(down 10.31 per cent) and Panafic Industrials(down 10.11 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks traded in the green, while 21 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 22.21 points up at 25571.2.

On the BSE, Sadhana Nitro, Nutricircle, Sybly Ind, Yamini Invst and Shangar Decor hit their fresh 52-week lows, while RLF Ltd, Mardia Samyoung, Greycells Edu, Lloyds Steels(PP)and Sudal Inds touched their fresh 52-week highs.
