FIIs have trimmed their large-cap allocation from about 80% to under 77% since 2015 while increasing exposure to mid-caps and small-caps (SMIDs), Ionic Wealth noted. This shift signals confidence in India’s broader economic momentum, with SMIDs offering faster earnings growth in expansionary cycles, something FIIs are now keen to capitalise on.
